The YESS program officially adopted by the Management of IGS in Nigeria!

In February 2012, the Young EarthSpace Scientists (YESS) program was officially adopted by the management of Iganmode Grammar School (IGS), Ota in Ogun State, Nigeria as a club for scientific but people-oriented educational (SPOE) activities. Our brochure is available on request.

White Label Space Partners With EarthSpace

On January 10th 2012, White Label Space and EarthSpace signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on their Google Lunar X-Prize bid using the SPOE programme. White Label Space, an international team with members in Australia, Europe, Japan and the United States, was represented by their chairman, Dr. Andrew Barton.
Synergy Moon LLC Partners With EarthSpace

On 21st December 2011, Synergy Moon LLC and EarthSpace signed a memorandum of understanding to work together, amid others, to create outreach programs based on scientific but people-oriented education (SPOE): the creation of projects that combine arts and humanities with science and technology. Additionally, both companies will work to raise awareness of the Google Lunar X-Prize competition among African Nations.
Represented by their COO Kevin Myrick, Synergy Moon LLC, is very excited about this ground breaking bilateral agreement and partnership, which signals the beginning of a true non-governmental and private approach to global space program in Africa.
Welcoming Heather Henry!

We are excited to welcome Heather Henry as the President of EarthSpace. As the new president Heather's work will focus on organizational strategy, partnerships, programs development, and logistical operations.
Heather is Canadian born, though she considers herself a citizen of the world. She enjoys travelling, meeting new people and sharing ideas. She was a Young Graduate Trainee at the European Astronaut Centre in 2009 during the basic training of the newest European astronauts and worked as the logistics and communication coordinator of an education program offered at NASA Ames Research Centre in Astrobiology It was at the International Astronautical Congress in South Africa, 2011 where Heather first became involved with EarthSpace. She is excited as she begins her work and looks forward to working with Ayodele to further the vision of this organization.

Todd B. Hawley Space Visionary Award Winner

EarthSpace founder Ayodele Faiyetole, (2009) is a recipient of Todd B. Hawley Space Visionary Award, here with the (2007) recipient, Jim of Jim & Lin Burke, and Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides, the first recipient (2005). The award in honor of Todd B. EarthSpace-SpaceSoc Competition Winners

EarthSpace with SpaceSoc, USA in a students' research competition about social and political issues facing space communities. The YESS students in Nigeria won this pioneer SpaceSoc competition in August 2009. Click here to read the transcript. 
NAF Commander's Plaque of Compliment

Invited lecturer spoke, on the role of the Air Force in the National Space program and the place of the intelligence industry in the overall development of the economy, at the Nigerian Air Force Base 403 Electronic Maintenance Depot training day in 2008. Subsequently he was presented with the Depot Commander's Plaque of Compliment.
Inauguration of the YESS program
